Printing of any kind has always had a bad reputation in terms of its environmental credentials. Ironically, it’s a reputation that’s not necessarily deserved, because the very same negative publicity about the environmental impacts of paper and printing in the 1980s and 1990s encouraged the printing industry to become more environmentally sensitive, 20 years ahead of other industries.
Here at Label and Litho, we are committed to maintaining an excellent standard of environmental sustainability. We’re not interested in just being middle-of-the road in our industry. We want to be exceptional.
To that end, in 2006 we joined Landcare’s EnviroSmart programme, achieving the Enviro-Mark Gold certification in 2008. The programme conducts annual audits to ensure we maintain our commitments to improve resource efficiency and reduce waste and the use of energy, water and raw materials.
